Nate Gelling wins city bowling title

Throughout the competition at this yearís sixth annual City Championship Bowling Tournament recently, Nate Gelling emerged as champion by rolling a 726 in the team event, 720 in doubles, and 728 in singles for a winning scratch all events total of 2,174 pins.

Dave Martinich captured the handicapped all events title with a 2,329 that included scratch scores of 745 in the team event, 630 in doubles, and 675 in singles.

Jim McBee and Brad Cottom won the handicapped doubles with scratch scores of 672 and 683 respectively, and a handicapped total of 1,616.

The handicapped singles event was won by Joe Martinich with a scratch series score of 790 with a handicap of 28 for an 818 series total.

The handicapped team event was won by the Bradís Bunch team with a score of 3,683.† Team members and their scratch scores were Brad Cottom (607), Jim McBee (539), John Covert (585), Keith Woods (714) and Jim McKenzie (634).

This yearís tournament had 50 teams (four teams short of last year), 101 doubles, 202 singles, and 156 all events entrants.
