Nate Gelling wins 2010 Ringin' Ten title

Butte bowling ace Nate Gelling won the annual Budweiser Ringin' Ten Scratch Classic for the second time in four years and pocketed the $2,000 prize.

The tournament was held last weekend at Star Lanes and drew 168 entrants from across the region.

Gelling was crowned the champion after two days of competition, defeating Chuck Groat, the back to back champion the last two years from Kearns, Utah, by the score of 196 to 166 in the final match.

The semifinal match saw Gelling defeat Mike Sagers of Clearfield, Utah, 215-199. In the preceding match Sagers defeated Dustin Wareing of South Jordan, Utah, 243-180. In the first match of the stepladder, Sagers narrowly defeated Bruce Steffani from Great Falls, 224-223.
